Catch up with friends and learn some new skills.
Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?
Yes. I wrote a post a few years ago about surviving a blogging conference and the tips are still relevant today. Have a read.
Look out for Carol on the day and say hello. Beware she is a hugger!
Describe Your Blog
A parenting and lifestyle blog, sharing the adventures I have with my 4 year old Monkey son. We love nature and exploring new places. We review anything that fits on with our family. Brewster is our family pet and often features on the blog too.
Why did you start blogging?
I started the blog to share my experiences as a first time older Mum in my 40′s. But the blog has evolved and I’ve realised how much I love nature, and reviewing as well as sharing experiences of life with my little boy.
What do you love about blogging?
The community. Sharing information, learning new skills. The opportunities that have come our way – getting to try lots of new things, go to new places and just have lots of fun. It gives me some ‘me’ time.
What advice would you give to new bloggers?
Communicate across social media, ask questions, people are generally very helpful. Be yourself, blog for yourself, don’t stress when you’ve got too many posts outstanding! Remember why you are doing what you’re doing. Family comes first.
What blogs should we be reading?
I love redpeffer.me.uk she’s on my wavelength. For beautiful photos I can never wait to check out a post from www.podcastdove.com
